Micronutri Fe is tested for the first time on a soilless culture of sweet bell peppers. At Proefcentrum Hoogstraten, a trial center managed by Belgian growers, Prayon designed a trial to compare the standard used iron chelate DTPA with the new iron fertilizer based on phosphate know-how.

Since the planting in December 2015 plants of both objects develop equally and never showed any yellowing of the leaves, indicating iron was sufficiently available.

Production results don’t show considerable differences between the plants fed with iron DTPA and plants grown on Micronutri Fe.

Looking at the tank in which Micronutri Fe has been dissolved it is clearly a progress in purity of the fertilizer compared with the typical red brownish appearance when dosing iron chelates.
