News - Dave Pinxteren

Dave Pinxteren has been appointed Development and Application Manager Horti at Prayon's Sales and Marketing Division, effective June 2015. This new position is part of the Prayon Group's strategy to further develop its presence on the horticulture market by deploying broader resources and a wider range of innovative products.

Dave Pinxteren earned a master’s degree in biosciences (specialising in horticulture) from KU Leuven (Thomas More). After completing his studies, he spent three years with the Science Faculty of the University of Lisbon as a researcher. Since 2011, Dave has been working at the Hoogstraten research centre as an expert in tomato crops. As such, he took part in 2013 in the preliminary tests carried out in Hoogstraten on Prayon's Hortipray® micronutriFe, an innovative fertiliser combining iron and polyphosphates.

"At Prayon, I will be delighted to provide technical support for our end users – the growers – especially with regard to newly developed products", he says. "In such a highly specialised field, it is important to go beyond traditional sales service and to deliver state-of-the-art technical support."

Dave’s responsibilities will also include following up on new product development and tests carried out. "Horticulture is a key development market for Prayon, not only in Europe but also in other parts of the world, such as emerging markets. Dave's expertise will be extremely useful in providing growers with advice on how to optimise the use of our highquality fertilisers. Quality is the result of not just using good products, but using them correctly and efficiently," says Kurt Verhelst, Prayon Senior Product Manager.
